didn't think tonights episode was good and from the lack of comments here tonight i'd say people feel the same, normally when an episode is good there are lots of comments, your man that plays Nick isn't a good actor his facial expressions when Peter was about to knock him out said it all

Jesus that fella Nick is woeful. I laughed when Peter said something about his "screwed up face" and it hadn't changed one bit. He has exactly the same expression all the time - even when someone is threatening to kill him.
Leanne needs to eat some pizza or something - she looks soooo skinny!

No, thought it was poor. Also, found it a bit odd that Ken and Deirdre are suddenly against Leanne and up until now they were saying how good she was for Peter.

Anyway, when Peter first picked up that crowbar why didn't Nick give him a good kick, knock him over and he wouldn't have been able to get back up again. A bit unrealistic (cos corrie is always sooo realistic :p) that Nick thought he was about to be killed by a man who can't even walk without a crutch.

Lets get this right, are you saying that because Peter has to use a crutch he would not be able to get up and walk if he was on the ground or the crutch was away from him. THE CRUTCH IS FOR SUPPORT, IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU WALK. Are you also saying that because he was on crutches he would not be able to murder someone if he wanted. Its his Leg that is supposed to be weak, not his arms which he would use if he did want to kill him.

Kevin has been written very badly the last few weeks.

Also Lloyd(one of my favourite characters) is not simple. He said twice to Kevin that they were leaving, but kevin said "no, its fine, stay!" What would you do Ann in the same position?

Yeah but they were standing there for a while before suggesting they leave. If I was in their shoes I'd've said something like...'Listen Kevin, another time ok? Sorry Sally, we didn't know it would be a bad time'...and I'd just go.

    Ps I know he's not really simple:D

Is Jane Danson (Leanne) leaving Coronation Street for good? It'll be a pity if she does - likeable character, brilliant actor!

Edit: Ignore this question - forgot there was a second episode tonight!

A really big problem with this "love triangle" is how Ben price looks. Nick and Leanne were both supposed to be 29 during their affair. While Peter is supposed to be 45. We should have been seeing that Leanne is a younger woman, committing herself to an older man, with a truckload of baggage and a young son, tempted by a man her own age who she loved as a young woman and could still have a lot of fun with. Instead we just got a Nick so substantially aged that he looked the same age as Peter, so every time he told her she should be having fun with a younger man it seemed ridiculous.

Do you mean Simon? Max is Baecky's nephew. I didn't see tonight's yet though, so maybe it was Becky heavy.

Think it's about to in the next episode, or on Thursday. Steve wins money in the casino and gives it to Dev, he explains why they stole it, but he says it was him, not Becky.

I thoroughly enjoyed last weeks wedding episodes...I was in tears when wee Simon was shouting at Leanne for not saying goodbye (that maddened me that...Peter not letting Leanne say goodbye to him. The poor child was going to suffer enough losing a second mother without her just walking out and not coming back:mad:). Anyway all's well now in that dept. Hopefully Nick the D*ck leaves them in peace.

I was just thinking recently about Dev and Sunita and what a background role they're playing lately, she's just being a shoulder to cry on for other people really. A few things I have on my mind about them...Don't like that colour in her hair...it's the same colour as her face, she should have shiny black hair, lovely with her eyes. it's good we're seeing nothing of their hyper kids tho', they'd give you a headache watching them....and that Dev's an awful crier... Every problem he has, he cries. Seriously, he can't talk about problems without crying....him and his seven shops:rolleyes: Fcuk sake, get a grip Dev. There wasn't a bother on him the other night, drinking every day in the pub and out playing golf flashing the cash now all of a sudden it's, ' where's all me money?! Shít!!'

I've mistakenly dyed manys the tee shirt in my time but never have I created a splash effect that Tyrone did. Had he no other tops in the whole house to be wearing? I did feel sorry for him though:confused:. Go on Julie, snuggle him up there in that cleavage, do him the world of good.

Someone asked what Becky has done to herself appearance wise. It's the tan I'd say, along with the hair extensions. She's really beginning to get on my wick. See when they're going out somewhere, she totally overacts...waving her arms about and slurping over Steve, chewing gum with her mouth open and skulling pints of beer like some kind of big hairy lorry driver...fcuk sake. I'd say she sits on the toilet reading the paper with the door wide open too:mad:. I really like Steve, the worst thing ever happened to him meeting her, the nuisance that she is. See the way she's mad to get rid of Tracy even though they'd risk losing Amy? And all the shít she put up with from her horrible sister to get to keep Max:mad:.

The whole Dev/insurance story is ridiculous anyway. He'd be suing whoever was at fault for the gas explosion, not claiming from his own insurance. He and Sunita, who was very badly injured and is now psychologically traumatised, would have a fortune coming their way.

As would Fiz and John, Rita, Tyrone, Claire, Simon, Nick, Peter, Charlotte's parents, the tram driver, random County fan's family and possibly Kevin.

Wasn't that runt primarily responsible for the gas explosion?

What happend there anyway or did it just conveniently blow over?

No, there was a blink and you'd miss it conversation between him and the investigator in the Rovers the day before NYE where he was told it had nothing at all to do with him.

Eta, because I have to keep typing it out due to the ludicrous casting, it was also the last day of that ancient looking man's 20s.

Steve won it at a casino.During a tram crash last year where devs shop was flattened, and during it Becky stole 5k from devs safe because her (scumbag) sister was blackmailling her for money for steve and becky to keep max, who is the SBs child. Now steve is feeling guilty I guess but dont want anyone to know so he posted it through the door.

Steve won money in the casino the other night with Becky. Becky was desperate for money a while back to buy her sisters son off her so when the tram crash happened she robbed the safe in Devs shop, now Dev is pennyless because he didn't have the shop insured and Steve feels guilty so he posted the money he won in the casino in Dev and Sunitas letterbox only Julie was on the street at the time and he didn't want anyone to see him so he waited for her to leave :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,739 ✭✭✭sudzs

    Ah right! I geddit!! ;)

    Thanks a mill! :D

I'd weaned myself off Corrie because we were watching too many soaps. But recently I've been tuning in occasionally. :o

Think I'll try weaning mr. sudzs off Emmerdale so we can go back to watching Corrie instead!!!

Now we have David sniggering into his mobile about some off-colour texts sent by you-know-who.
I'm fully in favour of the scriptwriters throwing these two unattractive characters together, only in the hope that they're trying to work up a storyline which ends with their violent deaths. ;)

Owen's going to get the police to arrest Eileen for embezzlment or stealing that 10 grand from him. I think he's destroying the evidence she has against him..

Eileen must have had the files open on the coffee table, otherwise there is no way in hell he would have found them so quickly. Can anyone tell me does Julie have a copy of all the files and therefore, by dropping Eileen in it, he has dropped himself in it? If not, then I am a bit dissatisfied with the way this story is going. To be honest I have been from the start, but Eileen ending up with a criminal record is a bit farcical in my opinion.

That said it was a good day for honesty on the street. Steve(stupidly) fessing up about the money and Eileen pleading guilty.

    Dev is such a prick.

Actually, i think you're right, didn't Julie have the original files to keep them safe? She had a copy at least.

Owen is such an ass. And Dev is really annoying, he should have just been happy with money.

See that Dev?! Fcuk sake wot a feckin' greasy petty weasel of an individual is he?! He got the freakin' money back, he should've just shut up about it, he loves the sound of his own voice him. I'm glad he shagged Deirdre that time, hope it haunts his dreams:mad:.

...and see Steve? I really like him, my favourite character, but what a dope...!! He should've told Dev the story, that Kylie was blackmailing them etc and Becky was out of her mind with worry. Not just shrug his shoulders and say 'it was me:o sorry, there you go... what can you do?'

I'd love to kick Becky up the árse from one end of the street to the other:mad:. That is all...

  • Registered Users Posts: 968 ✭✭✭Oliverdog

If Becky is a woman of her word - and I've no reason to doubt that she is - when she sets eyes on her sister again, she'll kill her.

I really hope they clear this up quick, very annoying storyline. Becky's sure to find out what he's told Dev and Sunita....if she has an ounce of decency about her, she'll come clean.
