And now we have Chris, coming through the door like a plumber in a German soft porn film (except without the handlebar mustache), and once again exposing his pectorals with no good reason. Looking at that scene, it contributed nothing to the plot - for us to understand the developing relationship between Chris and Maria, she would have to have whipped off her top too. And there was no chance of that.
So that's twice. If he takes his shirt off again, under my system he goes straight to fast-forward.
And he can't do a Lancashire accent either.

I've figured out why Xian annoys me so much... she reminds me of one of those people on children's tv who's like "Wow! Wasn't that fun? When we all work together the job is so much easier... *fake laugh*"

Nail on head. Thats why she is annoying. Plus she is impossibly good looking. I cant believe Sally's boyfriend(modelling agent) has not glanced at her and seen dollar signs. It would make this silly visa story go away over night.

The Mirror claims that Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) and Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) could fight it out for the affections of Dennis Tanner (Philip Lowrie) when he returns to Weatherfield.

A source said: "Barbara and Eileen are great actresses and will love a meaty storyline to get their teeth into. One idea is for Rita and Emily to fight for his affections."

I'm not sure that is a love triangle that would get me too interested.

Michelle Collins's Coronation Street character Stella will be revealed as Leanne Barlow's real mother in a forthcoming storyline, a report has claimed.

According to The Mirror, the soap's bosses have been planning the shock twist for the past few months and the plot will be the biggest Corrie story of the year.

As announced last month, Stella arrives on the street in June with partner Karl (John Michie) and feisty daughter Eva, taking control at The Rovers after Steve McDonald decides to bring in new blood.

However, insiders say that the surprise Leanne twist is what drew former EastEnders star Collins to Corrie as she was "gobsmacked" when she heard the plot details.

A Weatherfield source told the newspaper: "This was genius by the bosses. And it makes for a massive future for Michelle in the show. There has been a lot of cloak and dagger involved in the arrival of Stella."

Although the plot rumours remain unconfirmed, the Corrie team have previously teased that Stella is "hiding a dark secret" which will have "shocking consequences" for some of the street's most-loved residents.

Jane Danson, who plays Leanne, has also promised that there are "exciting" developments ahead for her character in the summer months.

Stella was previously tipped to save Leanne from armed robbers during some of her first scenes on the cobbles.

    ...shock twist.

Would it not be more of a shock twist, if we didnt know about it? I do genuinely long for the day when there is a Corrie shocking twist, which we dont know about 6 months ahead of schedule.

Wasnt he Elsie's son. If so does that mean that Emily or Rita is getting a Toy Boy, as Elsie would be around their age. Or was Denis a husband of Elsie.

Denis is about the same age as Ken I think. Back in about 1964 the actress who now plays Rita was in Corrie as Denis' showgirl girlfriend. I'm not sure if when Rita was introduced she was meant to be the same character. as she was just in 1 episode and then wasn't in it again for 8 years. But obviously the writers think she is, as that would be the only way she would know Denis as he was gone when she came back.

I'm not so sure. Both Barbara Knox and Eileen Derbyshire are two of the better actors on Corrie. Their charachters are imo sadly underused and have become cliched and a bit stale over the years. I can still remember Emily dealing with her husbands death in the robbery and Rita dealing with the abusive relationship with Alan Bradley. Both are provem to be great actors and a good storyline could relight their charachters. Love fights aren't restricted to teenagers and people in their 20's with the "F" factor you know! ;)

I've had a suspicion about Kylie and Max for the last month or so and tonight's episode seemed to be played by Paula Lane (Kylie) in a way that goes along with it.

Does anyone else think Max's dad is Kylie's father? Shortly before she got married Kylie told Gail that she hates Becky because she left knowing that if she went Kylie's father would start raping her. Tonight, while I know she wanted David to back off because of the £25k, I thought there seemed to be a bit more to the way Kylie was telling him it was her business.

I think that would go a long way toward explaining Kylie's mixed feelings toward Max, she does seem to love him but not be able to be near him and crack up at the thought of having responsibility for him. I think it would also explain her selling him to Becky.

Quite possible I suppose, we'll see.

Just caught up on a few episodes last night. Steve's stupidity knows no bounds does it? Did he really think Becky wouldn't find out about his trip:rolleyes:. Ridiculous story there. And Becky annoys me feeling sorry for hersefl the whold time...going out and getting 'bladdered' (what a horrible term for getting píssed:confused:) and wailing like a five year old.

And how freakin' annoying is Xin? The silly irritating little leech, any sign of her buggering off somewhere? Imagine having to sit at the breakfast table every morning with her sitting across from you, grinning stupidly... and incessantly chattering and giggling. I'd have to murder her... or at the very least, smack her across the side of the head with my spoon:(.

I don't know how Tina can endure her, totally overstaying her welcome without screaming. Don't much like Tina either now while I'm on the subject. She seems so miserable all the time with such a droning voice. She has such a false cackling laugh too, and she is obviously flirting with the orange one...though his orangeness has faded somewhat. She thinks everything he says and does is sooo funny and she flicks tee towels at him and everything...shameless wench! And he's such a dick...strutting about like he's God's gift thinking he's such a cad hiding Mary's van:rolleyes:.

They seem to be trying to transform your man (wtf's his name??Maria's love interest:confused:) from some kind of evil wife beater person to a muscle bound love God walking round the place half naked all the feckin' time. What's the story??

Oh and did anyone else notice Nick carrying out a box of cleaning products and handing them to Gail and saying 'here's a box of nipples for you mum' (That's what it sounded like to me, I rewound it 3 times). And has Gail no cop on at all...silly nuisance of a woman walking around with her bottle of bleach and her j-cloths and a posh do on...fcuk sake. She just follows Nick around interfering in his life the whole time. Pain in the árse, that's what she is......a total pain in the árse:mad:.

The Orangutan is employed washing cars and generally rushing around. I'd say that shirt he's been wearing since he came on the show must be starting to get a bit noticeable by now.

    O

Was wondering about this meself - are we supposed to forget that he used to beat his ex - his lame excuse was that he didn't like her pole dancing or whatever she did in the strip club. Fair enough, give her a few slaps so.

Nice line, perhaps intentional, perhaps not, from the beloved Tracey last night.

The very one. When I saw her first, I was raking me brain to know where I see her before and it drove me crazy until the old brain cells started overheating, but finally came up with the answer:P.

What I like best about the picture I posted is the salad sandwich on the floor between Chesney and Mrs Hoyle. It reminds me of Rosie's classic, "you forgot my chocolate Hobnobs" line from 2008.

John probably didn't want them going hungry. I don't think he wants another "accidential" death on his hands like Joy Fishwick! lol

EDIT: I always hated last of the summer wine, for a number of reasons. My parents liked it and left it on, so we had little choice in watching it. It was just too silly, and predictable.

    EDIT2:
    silly, and predictable.

Like how corrie is becoming :(
