Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    A monitor is a speaker!

Use your pc speakers or buy cheap logitec or similar speakers to start off with. as regards equipment look online I find http://www.thomann.de to be excellent.

i'd go for something by Numark. they have lower-end cdJ kits for beginners. if you go up north you'll get a great deal for something like that in sterling. usually you can get good deals on the numarks starters cos' they'll have everything you need... mixer, 2 cdjs all in a proper carry case. all you need is a stereo to plug it into and you're away.

I dont see why you would get either of them, especially the first one, its a monitor for the stage anged so that performers can hear their instruments.

I think this is a pretty good package

my mate got it, loud enough for the bedroom and sounds pretty good

  • Registered Users Posts: 147 ✭✭Mau5

actually sorry no i dont, i have a hitachi stereo that looks almost exactally like that.. would i be able to use that no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 749 ✭✭✭SteveDon

no? if it has an rca input (the red and white ones) then its good to go, you can use the speakers of cd units if the main unit has an auxillary option aswell

yeah if it has an rca input on the back saying aux, and it has a choice to pick aux on the stereo itself (as in like cd, radio, tape, aux)

yeah it has 2 pairs of aux inputs, one of which is used by my ipod jack. so i just get an aux cable then and im set?

thats got nothing to do with it

it should be a selection on the unit as in like the way you select to play the radio instead of a cd

if it doesnt, then trust me follow my previous advice with the speaker package link cause you are so far off the mark with the links you put up :D

sorry didnt see that, yeah thats fine just use it the same way as your ipod, you dont need a special cable, you need rca cables (red and white to red and white) you connect that from the master output on your mixer to your hi fi, you need rca cables to connect your cdjs to your mixer aswell

im actually not sure, it has something to do with the output, either the quality or the the loudness, but its not really important

seem to remember something called ohms law from science class in school

    google it!
