Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to buy batteries

Looking for a replacement for my Fuji Finepix's NP-60 battery, I rang a Dublin camera shop and they said they had it for €50 or so. I see it online for around €15 - or rather, a knock-off for that price.

But I don't know where's reliable. Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced and reliable online dealer who'll sell me a replacement battery?

Is this a difficult question, or somehow political? Or do people just not replace their camera batteries? (Just curious at 18 views and no answers.)

Don't think its political but people mightn't have the answer for seek - i looked earlier (one of the 18) but its a very specific query that you have, and personally speaking I haven't specific knowledge of the model of battery that you are looking for.

I can say that I bought a load of AA's - the cheapest I could find on eBay from somewhere in China - convinced myself they would be the best ever and what a deal I got. In truth they were absolute cr*p. They failed miserably on me so buyer beware if getting an incredible deal.

Seek out reputable sellers i'd guess.

What are you on about?! You already answered your own question with two options, you 1) found one in a local shop & 2) a €15 knock off online. What exactly more do you want?? A link to the item itself?

Both of which will probably do the job just fine. Try 7dayshop.co.uk , or eBay or now that Amazon ship to Ireland you can check there as well.

Thanks, majiktripp - as you'll see from AnCatDubh's answer, I ask because I'm looking for trusted sites for buying batteries - sites with which people have had satisfactory dealings.

I've bought spurious batteries from dealextreme.com and they have worked out pretty good.
