Best bet to ring Iarnród Éireann and ask about weekly commuter prices.

Don't know about weekly, but here are the monthly, from TaxSaver.ie

    http://www.taxsaver.ie/docs/ppr.xls

    TO/FROM DUBLIN Annual Monthly
    Arklow - Connolly €2,590.00 €259.00

You can save some money off that based on your tax rate.

Somewhere €221.00-€235.00 per month for train only. If the ticket clerk doesn't know the fare to Blackrock, the station number is 128.

There is a slight prospect of some addtional trains during the day / late evening when the new timetable comes (whenever that is).

If you need to use Dublin Bus or Bus Éireann, you might be able to get a different ticket.
