I recently came across this information and I was wondering if it's common knowledge or if it's a relatively new phenomenon.

If you wire 2-way switching by running a twin brown T&E between the two switches you are causing a problem.
Of the two browns within the T&E, the dead wire picks up an EMF from the live wire
and this in turn causes interference to Induction Loop System hearing aids.

The advice given is to wire the link between two switches using 3-core
and to carry the switch wire back on the 3rd core - presumably it
just cancels out the Eddy current (or whatever is causing the problem).

same would apply to any spare cores in multicore cables for heating etc. and earth wires not connected supply side
