Interesting little one-off test on Friday. A repeat, of course, of the WC final. Reckon the 'Roos will be keen for a spot of revenge. They've gone with virtually the same squad who lost to the Kwis in the final. Setanta are showing it live at 10:30 am on Friday. That NZ squad looks massively powerful. Be interesting to watch Vatuvei on the wing...

    3. Greg Inglis, Melbourne
    4. Justin Hodges, Brisbane

    6. Darren Lockyer (Captain), Brisbane
    7. Johnathan Thurston, North Queensland
    8. Petero Civoniceva, Penrith
    9. Cameron Smith, Melbourne
    10. Steve Price, New Zealand
    11. Anthony Laffranchi, Gold Coast
    12. Paul Gallen, Cronulla
    13. Glenn Stewart, Manly

    Bench:
    14. Kurt Gidley, Newcastle
    15. Brent Kite, Manly
    16. Luke Bailey, Gold Coast
    17. Anthony Watmough, Manly
    18: Luke Lewis, Penrith
19: (Standby for Boyd) Joel Monaghan, Canberra

    New Zealand Squad:

    1. Lance Hohaia, New Zealand
    2. Sam Perrett, Sydney City
    3. Iosia Soliola, Sydney City
    4. Jerome Ropati, New Zealand
    5. Manu Vatuvei, New Zealand

    11. Simon Mannering, New Zealand
    12. David Fa'alogo, South Sydney

The aussies will be out to get a good win over the kiwis to make up for their shoddy performance in the RLWC final.
But, it is hard to pick, when the kiwis are confident, and their hands have the right type of glue in them, then they could be anybody.
But if the aussies get away to a good start, and have a good lead by halftime, then i would pick them to take it out.

A hard one, but because i'm a kiwi, of course, i have to back them..

Don't know, I like the look of the kiwi outfit, strong. I'd have a punt on 'em if I were a betting man. Won't get to see the game live (God bless Sky+), but I'm anticipating a ding-dong scrap. Would love to see NZ put another one over the Roos.

Great performance form the Roos. No complacency whatsoever (unlike last November). Lockyer tortured the Kiwis all evening. An excellent kicking game and a huge defensive performance, particularly on the goal line. Kiwis showed up well, score perhaps a wee bit flattering, but not by much. Benji Marshall had an excellent first forty but was anonymous in the second. Eastwood stood out among the Kiwi pack, but was surprised by Vatuvei's very quiet evening. Seems like normal service has been resumed....
