UK bookies though are going to get money on United though and that warps the odds.

This is definitely a 50/50 match to me. Nobody can call it with any conviction. The bookies odds are going to be based purely on the amount of money being put on each team.

Should Be A Cracking Game Tonight For A Neutral Like My Self :D
in My Opinion The Teams Will Line Up Like This

    Barcelona playing a 4-1-2-3

    ---Valdes---
    ---Puyol---Toure---Pique---Sylviniho---
    ---Busquets---
    ---Iniesta---Xavi---
    ---Messi---Eto---Henry---

    And United Playing A 4-3-3

    ---Van Der Sar---
    ---O Shea---Vidic---Ferdinand---Evra---
    ---Anderson---Carrick---Giggs---
    ---Park---Ronado---Rooney---

    Anyone Agree??

I'd go along with that, if Scholes plays instead of Giggs, will see Tevez in the hole.

It will be more 4-2-3-1 for United Though.

Tbh I Can See This Bein A Very Tight Match But Can See Alot Of Attacking Play
But On The Other Hand Uniteds Defence Is Amazing So As An Arsenal Fan Its Hard To
Say But I'd Put My Money On United To Snatch It.

I cannot see why Park would start ahead of Berbatov or Tevez. But from what the media are saying those look like the likely line ups.

Not really. He may drift out wide at times but I never recall him being played as a winger for United.

A lot of it will depend on how effective or often the fullbacks from Barca get forward to support because we know our two wide men (Park and Rooney) will get up and down the wing all night.

Can any football fan really claim this? I haven't missed a CL final in the last 12 years or so. I'm just asking cause I'm obviously biased the last two years but even the die hard LOI supporters must still enjoy football played by two world class clubs?

He/She is too busy trying to count to a million, apparently that is much more entertaining.

If he plays on the right, i'm not so sure he would need to - i don't think Sylvinho will go forward too much, as he doesn't have the pace anymore to recover if he gives Ronaldo a head start.

Ferguson will have to play Park and O'Shea behind him. :D

    Alot of speculation, killer really.

There will be at least one shock I'd say.

Ive Heard Rumors That Keita Will Play At Left Back??
    Anyone Else Heard This?

i'd be shocked if fergie didn't remain cautious, as he usually has done in Europe, and play workhorses out wide, leaving Ronaldo through the middle.

if not, fair play, he's trying something different, and sees Sylvinho as a weak link that Ronaldo can exploit.

hopefully it bites him in the ass ;)

Ronaldo plays as a wing forward, and we have 3 in midfield to aid the defence already. If we were playing 442 with him on the right it would be more of a worry, but that won't be the case regardless, imo.

I believe Ronnie will start up front, I think Park will play on the right and track back, i'm just saying I don't think we'll have to worry too much about the full back getting forward

Keita has said he does not want to play at left back as there are others in the squad better at playing in that position. Whether that was a bit of gamesmanship or not remains to be seen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

i know its only possible starting 11s thats what i said in the post before rumors

Thing is its better for Ronaldo to start up front, with Rooney on the left and Park on the right. If we then notice that one of there full backs isn't getting forward too much we can put Rooney up top, and Ronaldo and Park on whatever wings suit.

Playing Berbatov and therefore dropping Park does not give us the same flexibility.

I can see why Fergie could be thinking Berbatov though, if he isn't worried about their fullbacks too much then Berbatov will be very useful in getting the ball and bringing the team up the pitch.

    Man just release the teams.

Wonder what odds you'd get on O'Shea to outscore Henry??

God this day at work is going so bloody slow. Thank God I can get off early at four. The boys on RTE aren't starting any earlier than the usual 7 bells are they??
