Carrick is way out of his debt here and knew he would be found out. I think starting Giggs was a mistake it should have being Scholes. I think comments on Park is slightly harsh but is having a nightmare as well. Scholes and Tevez to come on.

Nervy start from Barca but one clinical moment and they have been on top pretty much since then. Typical of Eto'o, EZE said that he was key to the game as he has been out of form for a while.
Xavi has been superb as has Iniesta and Messi. The just pass it around now and wait for the mistakes. I like that description by Mike65 of their passing game.

Edit to add, thats the first time I've seen Park play badly that I can remember. Maybe the occasion has got to him.

Iniesta as expected making the difference. Nobody picking him up whatsoever.

Vidic shoulda pushed Eto down the line for the goal, but VDS beaten on his near post is hsocking.

United had great domination for the first ten minutes, then totally lost it after the goal, and Barca came into more.

I hope that Fergie can light a fire under them and get another good ten minutes and we could get a goal. But we look dodgy as **** at the back, unlike Barca who Pique is ****ing playing a stormer (good for him).

I think we need Berbatov on, a bit of cool up front is desperately needed. Take off Giggs, go Carrick and Anderson, Rooney behind him, Ronaldo and Park on the wings. We need to go for this, because we're very close to it being beyond us.

In fairness though that's the same with most playmakers. When Italy had to defend against Ireland a few months ago they just took Pirlo off.

Barca absolutely bossed united in that half. They look superior in every position, united need to sort it out and now. Tevez needed up front to put that defense under pressure, carrick was found out big time.

If he had the aggression and pace he would be as good as anyone just not up for it and i always thought so. I really hope Tevez comes on because the longer it goes the more the heads will drop.

When the team is under pressure though he will not get the ball as much and when he does the ball is rushed. Can understand why he is not at his best.

They'd still be defending as they were in the last 20 minutes of the 1st half if Scholes was playing though. They need the likes of Fletcher in there to hassle Barca. Although United were brilliant for the first 10 minutes or so.
