George Hamilton keeps talking about 99 and how Utd did it in extra time,what he fails to point out Utd played out of their skins that night,this is just a terrible performance by Utd tonight.

Fully deserved, Barca the better team in every way, really made United look ordinary.

To be fair, I don't think this is a great United team, I think the mediocrity of the EPL has inflated their worth slightly.

Barca.. true giants... great to watch.... the most worthy champions of recent years.

West Ham fan here.

Very disapointed with United. It reminded me of their stints in the Champions League between the Kispest Honved game in September 1993 to their humbling by Rotor Volgograd in 1995, and to thier reception of footballing masterclasses from Juventus in 1996-1997. They showed for nothing, and Barcelona outclassed them.

That Utd midfield was a disgrace and are why Utd lost that so badly - stick Masch/Alonso/Ballack in for Park/Giggs/Anderson and it would have been a different story.

Carrick had a terrible game, IMHO not good enough for CM.
It is a great result for football.

Well done Barca, outplayed United for 80 mins and could've scored at least 4. Disappointed, but the fact that it's Barca and they won fair and square makes it slightly less painful!

Great match to watch, some stunning passing football from Barca, score line could have been 5-0 tbh. Utd. never really looked threatening at all. Been a super first season for Guardiola hasn't it?

Congratulations to Barcelona. As a Utd fan I am gutted but you just cant argue with that performance from a much superior team.

Utd basically need a new midfield. Carrick and Anderson were found out tonight as far as I'm concerned. And Giggs just doesn;t cut it at the top level anymore. And don't even get me started on Berbatov. What a waste of over 30 million.

Tevez is just a rich mans Dirk Kuyt and he is not worth anywhere near the money that we would have to pay. Hopefully Hargreaves can come back next season towards his best with Fletcher as a squad player and a new creative midfielder.

Carrick annoyed the crap out of me tonight, his passing was terrible, Anderson is not what many United fans might think he was, and I think Fergie made a mistake in starting with Park (in what seemed a kind of a thank you)

United missed the Keane type midfielder tonight, they had nothing in midfield to take a grip of the game - Iniesta and Xavi revelled in what was an uncompetitive midfield, but im taking nothing away from their performance.

I feel sorry for Rooney, United need to spend big this summer to get a midfield together that enables Rooney to be played in his best position.

Well done Barcelona, not a masterclass as some are saying, but European Champs none the less,
