€99 season ticket is a bargain , i rarely go to terryland once or twice a season but im gonna make more of an effort, the people deserve more support from the city.
Anytime i did go the pitch was brutal and it seemed to rain even inside the stand

The pitch has one of the best surfaces in Ireland but unfortunately, at different times a combination of bad weather and the scheduling of many games in a short space of time there by the Galway FA can really ruin it.

Thankfully the pitch is back to its old self. One of the best in the League.

There were problems at the start of this season due to a combination of bad weather around Jan/Feb and it wasn't given a rest before the season started. It was fine again after 2/3 months.

We might be able to entice more Liverpool fans this year on the basis of them having a bad season. One of the main comments thrown back when mentioning GUFC is ''They're ****'' so you can be sure the majority of these fans will follow their own philosophy before long(in that regard).

Here's hoping United follow them down the table too and then 90% of Irish fans will have less of an incentive to follow a team in the Queens country.

The pre-Christmas season ticket rate of €99 (adult and concession) has been extended into 2011.

A secondary school rate of €59 has also been introduced, with family tickets (two adults and two secondary school) costing €300. U-12s (accompanied) will be admitted free of charge into all Airtricity League home matches in 2011.

    CALLING ALL UNITED SUPPORTERS

In order to stabilise the current situation at Galway United, to ensure that we get a Premier Division licence for 2011, and to allow Sean Connor to continue his preparations for the new season, GUST have taken control of the day-to-day running of the club in the short-term while a more long-term structure is put in place, and while an agreement can be made to ensure the transfer ownership from the board of directors to the supporters of the club.

Our immediate financial priorities are :

    - payment of managers wages
    - provision of transport to Belfast friendlies
    - negotiations with remaining football creditors to achieve a licence

Whether we like it or not, if the above are not dealt with, the manager will quit, we won't be able to fulfill our next two fixtures, and we will be expelled from the Premier Division. When we get a licence we can look at starting to resolve broader issues affecting the club.

We urgently need the help of you, our incredibly loyal and patient supporters, to keep the show on the road. The three main ways that you can help over the coming days are :

    - Buy a season ticket, sell one to a fellow supporter, or help with our sales campaign
    - Join our monthly Maroon Army draw, or persuade a fellow supporter to join
    - Join our newly formed sponsorship team and help bring in some urgently needed revenue (several packages available)

If you can help, call me at (087) 6972823, or call to Elverys, Galway Retail Park tomorrow (11.00am - 5.00pm).

The process of change has started this week. Together we can save this great little club, and return it to its core values of honesty, integrity, hard work, loyalty, and friendship, with plenty of laughs along the way.

    Come on United !

    Ronan Coleman,
    Chairperson,
    Galway United Supporters Trust.

    Donegal Celtic 0-2 Galway United

Gary Curran scored the first. Not sure who scored the second.

Garry Kelly poked the second in after Moore broke down the left, cutting inside and laying it back to Feeney. He curled a shot to far corner with the keeper only able to parry it into the path of Kelly
