Wireless wont work in Saggart Dublin what next

    Sister has ground floor apartment in Saggart,and she got imagine wireless BB but could not get signal.They said due to been ground floor and no chimney this is why she cant get signal. Looks like she will have to go the route of phone line which she did not want to do.She has sky tv but they don't do BB yet and NTL dont service her area.Just wondering what is the cheapest phone line rental BB package out there.

    Was that Ripwave she got? It's notoriously bad, and she's better off without it.

    Cheapest is not necessarily the best. For basic 1M and line rental, they're all pretty much the same. The best DSL provider, IMO, is Smart Telecom. I would advise she avoid BT, just search for BT problems if you want more info. Magnet do pretty good deals too, as do UTV. If she's interested in bundled phone calls, Perlico seem to do some good deals.

    Get eircom to install the line first though, don't order a line through any of the re-sellers, she'll be waiting ages if she does.
