Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok pro Liverpool ref, with that one little free, what a terrible ref he's been today, deserves the abuse he's getting from you.

what about the incident when west ham defender clearly won the ball against Torres but nope that was a foul

dear god what was he playing at?! messing up himself was bad enough, but claiming for a pen when noone was near him?!

Lol this made me laugh. Imagine him running round giving frees to west ham constantly.

Boa morte is going to get sent off.

in fairness, in that instance, the defender won the ball, which was fine, but Neill came in at the same time and completely missed the ball and took Torres clean out of it. It was he who got the foul, not the man who won the ball.

look at lucas neill lean on him before the excellent tackle comes in, there was a foul.
but yes you have clearly proven the ref is having an absolute shocker.

Hahaha that was funny poor auld di michelli lol. Although i didnt think it at first with Carragher. But now we can look back and laugh!:pac:

Neill had already clearly shoved Torres in the back before the ball was won.

yup, thats what the free was given for imo, unfortunate for the player who did get the ball

9 times out of 10 Di Michele scores there, that was extremely lucky for Liverpool and would've put a whole different complexion on the 2nd half

Lovely half time score from a City point of view

ah come on now neil barely leaned on torres

I wouldnt say he's having a shocker but the clear foul on boa being missed is pretty bad

Lucas Neil deserves whatever he gets.

    FACT!

based on that effort of just running straight at the keeper and falling over I'm going to say that 9/10 is a serious over estimation. Maybe 1/10.

The consequences of what followed obviously magnify the mistake, but to be honest he's been a decent ref so far. Every ref gets a few fouls wrong per game, its not like it led to the goal directly, a lot needed to be done before torres was brought down.

999 out of 1000 times carra would of cleared that easily, Whu were lucky.

Just because Boa didn't get his foul doesn't excuse a blatant jersey pull in the box.

kinky was some player! Pity he played for the wrong city.

    this game is over.

Gerrard on 23 goals, 15 in league. Torres needs 1 goal to bring up the half century.

That's two very, very good deliveries into the West Ham box from the right hand side since half time. Gerrard and Yossi should each have done better imo.

i just missed a few mins there, why does upson have no number on his shirt and a tampon up his nose?

I think Boa Morte should have been taken off at half time, as he appeared to be a ticking time bomb. He's looked really purposeful so far this half though - seems to be challenging his sense of injustice in the right way.

Insua to get one game closer to a Prem league winners medal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

You know, Insua could pass as the younger brother of Tevez. A lot of similarities in their appearance iyam.

Decent return for a striker - and he is a striker these days. Interesting to see how he has morphed from a right back -> defensive midfielder -> central midfielder -> right midfielder / attacking midfielder -> second striker. Probably some more changes to come before he retires aswell.

even better considering he played most of the start of the season in central midfield, and has been injured a bit as well

Not one of Torres' better games. Still had a big influence of the goals though.
