    I have a song in my head but I don't know the name of it. Some of the lyrics are as follows:

    "So I sold the farm for what it was worth, and into my pocket went a handful of dirt..."

    It's an irish song but I cannot remember what the name is. Something tells me it's something like "a tale from newyork" or the likes. But google has failed me :(

    Can anyone tell me the song?

    Sorry mods I don't know where to post this other than here. :(

    Wrong it was the Wolfe Tones who had the original. Bagatelle might have done a cover.
