It's been like that for a few years now, but yes, it's nuts. The response I got was:
Traffic Management in the City Centre is designed to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible, provide priority to public transport modes and provide local access and servicing for businesses and residents in the City Centre. The current Traffic Management Plan aims to provide an equitable balance between these needs.

    So that's OK then.

Edit: The mail to contact for queries of this sort is traffic .at. dublincity.ie

Cheers Thoie, they must have changed alot of bus routes then as there was quite a few that would start off outside what use to be Virgin and take that left to head up towards ChristChurch.

You can take the left on fishamble street and take a another sharp left and this will bring you onto parliament street.

Isn't the first left a one way street in the wrong direction?

Yep think so, I think he means second one;) as first is narrow and only good for one way traffic now
