Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Individuals who are involved in photo exhibitions often give links here. Perhaps making a sticky with lists of important exhibitions around the World could help us keep in touch with work by the experts?

I think there's enough stickies on the forum as it is without clogging it up with more.

Over on the expeditions forum there's a "what's on" sticky for exactly that purpose.

Someone else was asking about that earlier this week if I recall correctly but more interested on events to shoot. However, it can and should be used for exhibitions and the like.

Anouilh, I strongly disagree with this idea. We use stickies in this forum lightly because a) they take up screen estate and b) they push new threads off the front page very quickly. I only see the point in providing such a sticky if people were going to be going to these important exhibitions around the world which - for the most part -they are not. 500 people came to the boards exhibition and it was stickied here and had a persistant announcement on the whole site for 6 weeks and it was important to this site. We could look at doing something similar in the expeditions forum per se for Ireland as a whole perhaps, but for now, stickying a list of world exhibitions is not really - in my view - relevant to the overwhelming majority of users on this forum right now.

Don't worry, I'll work the exhibitions I have enjoyed here and abroad into the texture of my posts. There is a lot going on in London at the moment and there will be quite a few interesting venues during the Summer there.

It's worth noting that some galleries in Australia allow photography. Photographing people viewing photos is a lively activity.
