hi my sister has 4 children and a poorly paid job she has a medical card and a few weeks ago she got the fis , but i know they are still finding things hard i was wondering if she has any other entitlements she can claim now for eg is there such a thing where she could claim for help in buying the uniforms for the children or anything like that .thanks in advance

She can also apply to CWO for Supplementary Welfare Allowance, I haven't read the info but I think thats more for emergency use rather than a regular payment:

if is is a lone parent she can get that payment aswel as FIS.she wont get the Supplementary Welfare Allowance unless she is waiting on another payment to process.

if things are really tough, she can go to the cwo as mentioned, this is a discretionary payment on their behalf though.
