Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've only got compact camera's and an old SLR that we use sometimes. Its great, but lacks the preview and 'woops, take it again' factor...

Anyway I've found it on Ebay and pixmania so far. Ebay is cheap but then I'd have to add on the import tax. Is there somewhere else online that I could buy from? Absolute ideal would be a reasnoable Irish site... or shop (based in Galway tho)

If you buy it in the eu and pay vat you wont be liable to customs and exise duty. Sites to check are: warehouse express, 7dayshop (i'm sure they do canons), cameraworld.co.uk and jessops. kerso on eBay (based in scotland) often has canons fairly cheap.

Don't forget the free half day's training worth €150 if you buy the 500D from a qualifying dealer in the Republic of Ireland,

Free, as in you've already paid for it due to extortionist prices charged in Ireland!

from EU warehouseexpress seem to be the best, they are in the UK.

and if the USD-EURO is at a good price www.bhphotovideo.com is great, they also have alot of second hand gear.

if you want a new canon eos 40d at a bargain price of 585euro (eos '450'd is 537euro at pixmania) plus delivery(no import tax)

or a 50d plus ef 28-135MM Lens(should be IS) for 950euro plus delivery.

You should try Currys in NI, I've found them to be the cheapest for the Nikon D60 so far.
