Where is a good place to buy a laptop online? and would it be guaranteed if it broke? Is it much cheaper than buying in shops?

Really depends what your looking for.

Buying online is fine, and yes it will be covered the same as if you bought it in a shop. Normally warranty is 12 months, but some will offer longer, or you can pay for additional length.

    elara.ie
    misco.ie
    pixmania.ie
    dell.ie

just to name a few of the irish ones.

http://www.laptopsdirect.ie is another to check. When I was researching this site was the cheapest for the netbook I was interested in.

If you're just after a basic laptop, I saw one in Dunnes last night with €160 off, which I think made it €339. No idea of spec, but I think it was a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo.
