Is it possible to teach in a Gaelscoil without having done your Dip through Irish?

Bit of a Ronseal thread really.

Is it worth applying for a Gaelscoil job or do they just specifically look for candidates who did the Dip through Irish in Gaillimh?

lots of people work in gaelscoileanna whilst doing their dip

in general you would want a high level of gaeilge before you will get any job in a gaelscoil

I did my dip. in English, wasn't a problem. Galway would have lots of locals looking to work locally so jobs might be hard to come by, but nothing ventured , go néirí leat.
