Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Day 2:Shoulders and Back
    Military Press
    Bent over Rows
    Shrugs (Barbell)
Lat Pull down/DB Shoulder press super set
    Weighted reverse crunch (Roman chair)

My main concerns are having the big 3 on the same day, I just find I lift better with chest and shoulders on separate days. Would I be better with chest/back & leg/shoulder

    Pullups needed here man.

I'd also make the shoulder superset something like DB upright row/DB shoulder press..doubles or singles doesnt matter

Spent a few hours suit shopping yesterday. I couldn't find a single pair of pants that fit me. Very frustrating.

I decided a while ago not to watch those Pixar movies till I have kids.
After all whats the point in having films that "the adults can enjoy too" if you go with adults....

Sorry, I forgot to add that I start with pull-ups, just as many as I can do, hoping to increase the max number slowly.
    I'll give that Super-set a shot

Replaced my old foam roller with The Grid one from irishfit today.......... ouch :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,829 ✭✭✭TommyKnocker

Yep +1, I really like my Grid roller

Was out with them myself last week and also picked up this

    Totalkit1.jpg

    and this

    original_body_stick.gif
As I had seen Transform demonstrate using them in his stretching video. Have only used them once but thought they were really good.

And here is a excellent resource which was posted a few days ago on this thread by d'Oracle http://www.robertsontrainingsystems.com/downloads/SMR-manual.pdf

Im based in Cork for the summer so i only ordered the Grid over the internet, if im in dublin think il call out to the shop and pick up one or 2 other bits and pieces.

Should be no problem. The Grid is only about 14"-15" long so it would easily fit under you desk. Or you could stick in in a corner of a comms room and tell everybody it is a new fiber management device you are trailing :D:D:D

Great home gym setup, I see he uses horse stable/stall mats for the floor, you might get them a lot cheaper than specific ones for gyms.

I was thinking this will be my workout for the next few weeks before I decide what to do next. All of the first four lifts will be 3x5. The rest will vary. Any comments welcome. Its very similar to my 5/3/1 routine. Maybe too similar, might get a bit boring.

    Squats
    SLDL
    Back extension
    Ab pulldown/leg raises

    Bench
    BOR
    Incline Bench
    Pull ups
    Curls

    Deadlift
    Good morning
    Back extension
    Ab pulldown/leg raises

    OHP
    Chin up
    Dips
    Curls

I hope to workout 3/4 times a week. I'm also going to stick in a home metcon session or two in there on my off days.

He was like your no farmer..so you must be flooring a gym.... i was like wtf...turns out they get people in for them quite a bit for flooring gyms

    So

    rings
    kettlebell handle for weights
    rower
    declined situp bench
    swiss ball
    jump rope
    bands / handle for stretching.
    Punch bag

    wish list
40kg of bumper plates to get me going
    oly dumbell handles

also ive a prowler ordered for 2 months now!!! ill get it eventually. Its a friend of mine thats making it for me and hes busy restoring an old car so cant really push him for it :P

maccyd's are doing a double quarter pounder (or half pounder to normal people) atm. Maybe they've always had it but I only saw it last night for the first time. Apparently its possible to ask for a pounder burger but its not on the menu, you ask for a double 1/4lb'er with two extra burgers or something like that....
