Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do any of ye know how to scale Crossfits Cindy workout? I don't want to do pull ups and I remember reading somewhere you can scale it to do rows instead of pull ups.

I do inv rows instead of pull ups for it.

Might give that a go - the setup in my gym is terrible for inverted rows though, do you do them on the bench or a smith?
    Cheers G86 :)

I usually use the smith machine. Just set it to waist(ish) height.

Smith machine or rings will do the job, the rings make them a bit harder.

Gym has a new setup - smith machine is jammed up against some other cable machine, so you can't really put your feet on a bench when doing them, will try to work something out.
Do you stick to the 5:10:15 format with the rows?
I just got up to get a drink and my legs are killing me already from Monday - not looking forward to this :/

Yeah I use the same reps. You could just do them with your feet on the ground. Do you have rings, no? Other option is to do them off a bar in the power rack if no-ones using it.

I would quite happily over head squat every day

The rings also allow a greater ROM, you can pull yourself up past where a bar would be. I am currently doing rows with ropes, greater ROM and trains grip too. A couple of large towels or bedsheets over a chinup bar can act like ropes.

I'd say actually having Douglas in the sequel lends it a slight bit of credbility or whatever but it still looks the worst.

1 tin of chilli tomato tuna, 1 tin of 4 bean mix, nuke for 90 secs = EPIC TUNA CHILLI WIN

Could probably add an onion and some tomatos to bulk it up, but i like the no filler-ness of tuna and beans

B12 and Hydroxycut AGAIN. What was I thinking.

5 hours before bed is NOT enough time for them. Almost 7 hours on and I'm still buzzed.

If tuna and/or a small tin of kindey beans, lima beands etc give you diarrhea then you should probably get it looked at by a medical professional.

7 scoops of ice cream (vanilla, coffee Oreo, PB Reese’s, white Russian, mint Oreo, cherry vanilla, and reverse chocolate chip), 9 toppings (Oreos, Heath bar, hot fudge, whipped cream, Reese’s Pieces, mixed nuts, waffle pieces, rainbow sprinkles, and almonds), all served on a frisbee.

(also, isn't a frisbee a type of pie)

Edit: also, gym chalk arrived today.
I ordered a block of chalk from ebay, I assumed it would be a solid block.

Turns outs is more a small box (100x100x25mm) filled with chalk.
Have no idea what to transfer it to

I read it as health bar first time too....

MEB where did you get that wonderous feed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,642 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

    That makes more sense, lol

Reckon its over to stick the chalk into a zip lock bag?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,165 ✭✭✭✭brianthebard

zip lock sounds ok but could cause a mess, the mountain climbing chalk comes in a sort of muslin clothe wrap that allows some chalk to get out when you squish it in your hands but it doesn't all fall out if you drop it on the ground. If you had some similar porous material it would be a good thing to put the chalk in, then inside the zip lock. You could just bring a little in a zip lock I guess and even if it does spill it wouldn't be a big deal....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,642 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

seen those balls/bags, actually thought thats what I was gettign until I seen the box, then remembered the "block"

    Block my arse.

Was considerign trying out a sock, but might be an epic failure
