    Typical speak from a Corkman.

I was hoping for a nice quiet shift in work but no, people have decided to make their New Years resoltions a week early this year it seems. Up the walls. Add to the fact that a gym down the road has frozen pipes and is closed for a few days means more traffic here. Good for business though.

Said gym having frozen pipes means i can't do my tour de france themed cycle class there tomorrow. Im glad - never so underprepared. It meant i would have had to spend a few hours tonight syncing music to video footage and then get my hands on a projector from my friend a long way away. Happy days. I can prepare the weekend.

Now im off to tell bold children to keep their swimming hats on.

Can you measure the wattage output on a spinning bike?It would be pretty sweet if you could see everyones number as their going through the class so you can see who's slackin off.

There are some bikes out there now with screens attached that do a whole host of measurements. They cost an arm and a leg.

I'm sure you could buy some sort of comuter to attach up.

You get an eye for those slacking off though. You easily begin to spot those who are pretending to climb hills.

damn you, none of that crap is any way appealing after the last few days.... and then... gets to 3.0:pac:

Uuuuugh I spent the last 3 hours reading about and making notes on the cardiovascular and respiratory system. So tired. Expect me to start dropping unnecessarily long words into conversations that are only mildly related to the usage of said words so I can show you all how smart I am.

I loosely recall Broz saying he was recovering from a wrist injury or something, that being the reason for straps on the front squats.

What's wrong with you that you're taking pain killers? Is it your back again?

I'm in the same situation, was on holiday before Christmas, been drinking almost every day, eating takeaways, as much chocolate as I can eat...

And now I actually have an opportunity to train, I've come down with a flippen cold :(

Although I got a new PB on the Dumb bell press last week before Christmas so maybe all the extra fat is helping :)

Exact same situation. Last time I trained was on the 19th. I tried earlier, despite being sick and got in 1 working set of squats before having to stop. :(

Had Heffernan test me a week back. In the 2 months since I last tested, I had finished 1kg whey, 1 kg maltodextrin, on top of the already big diet.

    I dropped 2mm overall with the calipers - I'm still under 8.5%bf.

As iaatL once said, I'm convinced I have worms...

I think I actually have worms, like for real. Spent the month before Xmas in New Zealand eating out every night and day, when I came home everyone told me how small I'd gotten.

Trained for the first time last night and it was pathetic, serious work needed to get back on track.

if you have little white yokeys in your poo it could be tapeworm. Thems egg pockets. About 10,000 eggs per sac. Noice. Or stick a piece of sello-tape around your bumhole and if little white thingys come off with it it could be pinworm.

Alternatively if you have muscle cramps and unexplained belly aches it could be Trichinella.

Finally all my years of studying as a parasitologist have come to good use. FINALLYYYYYYY!!!!*

    * also, go see a Dr.

Sorry about that. I spent three years studying poo and as a result have very little qualms about all things faecal. I tend to forget other people aren't quite as de-sensitised to it as I am :o

I just got sick a little there, yummy. You paint such a lovely picture, you rock

What really happened me was my stomach shrank from eating a tiny breakfast and non existent lunch as we were travelling around in a camper van. The only real calories I was getting was a dinner in a restaurant so even though I thought I was stuffing myself I was probably eating just under maintenance. Couple that with no training for the last 2 months and I can see the problems

I could do with a checkup though cant remember the last time I was at a GP
