I've a few hours to kill in Dublin city tomorrow. Is there any decent payg gyms? Might as well do something useful.

Morton Stadium and Ballymun Council gym are PAYG if your looking on the Northside. €8. Morton may not be well equipped enough though.

I was shown this app today by the archery coach

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.techsmith.apps.coachseye&hl=en

I know it costs 3.75 Euro to buy but it looks like good teaching tool.

There is a sign in my gym now saying if the weights aren't put back on the rack, they will be removed due to female members of staff and health & safety.

Fair enough but if they remove the weights I want out of membership. They are afraid to tell members to fùck off because they'll lose revenue but expect me to pay for limited equipment.

Went into dumbbell section and half the rack is on the floor with bicep boys hording different weights for chest and arms.

Tell them to hire people who actually lift.

Why did they have to mention females there? Could they not just health and safety reasons?

I assume its because women are naturally weaker then men and the guys who lift need reminding that a weight that is light to them could be a considerable part of someones bodyweight e.g. asking a 60kg woman to lift a 35kg dumbbell onto the rack. Well thats my take on it anyway.

I'd love to implement that rule for one Monday evening... by Tuesday there would be literally no plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, olympic bars, or anything else left in the gym and I'd never have to pick of anyone else's sh*t ever again...

God I hate the general public sometimes...

... by sometimes I mean all the time, and by the general public I really mean students

Drives me MAD when people don't put stuff back.

The free weights area in my gym is an absolute state. What's more, there is a free weights area downstairs with dumbbells from 1kg-7kg and then all the heavy ones are upstairs in a free weights area. Which is a men's area basically. Which is seriously annoying because as someone said already they're usually hoarding sets of dumbells for chest and arms and all I ever see 80% of them doing up there is spurring each other on during sets i.e. standing around taking up space. Also annoying because then I have to lug the dumbbells to where there is space and lug them back up. (stairs I might add, stairs!)

Gas today though. I went up to get 10kgs for an exercise and there was the usual gang of lads. Of course the dumbbells were everywhere and I couldn't see the ones I needed. One of the lads then handed me a 4kg that was hanging around and said, and I quote, "There you go". At which I said "No, it's these I want thanks" grabbed the 10kgs and toddled off down the stairs. The cheek :P

Sorry for rant, there are lovely lads in the free weights that are very helpful...today was not one of those days.
