    Better one.
Its continued use is depressing. Some schools practice a zero tolerance policy, some schools preach it and some schools just haven't a clue.

There's a lot of cluelessness about isn't there, Mr Francis?

Isn't that a kind of pedantic "motion" for a Ted talk?

I eat, what you might call "Paleo", but I don't eat like I do to mimic a paleolithic man. I eat as I do because I appreciate the ideals of eating whole foods / real foods.

The "paleo" ideal in my mind is the ideal behind eating as little processed foods as possible.

Debunking the naming convention isn't really debunking the diet!

Any chance of a quick summary? cant really watch a 20 minute video in work!

Evidence of grains in Paleolithic Fossils.

That Paleolithic people wouldn't have eaten anything like the 'paleo' diet (obviously fair, not going to have eggs, avacados, butters, olive oils, nuts, bison all within a 5mile radius).

Farming / MG / Cultivation has engineered vegetables just as much as grains. (evidence brocolli & carrots).

Last 4 minutes are good. Talks about the need for fresh foods, diversity in a diet. Talks about how the average American processed food is probably made up almost entirely of 3 things (Soy, Corn, Wheat) and that this should be avoided.
    Also - eat whole foods

Saw that linked around a few weeks back, I gather the issue is simply the name?

Amazingly enough you can tell if someone has been in America recently by carrying out isotopic analysis on their fingernails. The corn-fed nature of their meat actually changes the make-up of isotopes in the body, amazing stuff.

Had the oul lad come into me on Sunday morning with the Neil Francis article in his hand, eager to show me.

    'Not again I thought'.

Christ. At least pick a supplement that hasnt been studied to death to make ridiculous claims against. Linking it/Implying a relation to SADS and Lomu's Kidney condition is complete and utter scare mongering too.

People ,by and large, are idiots.

"A lot of the muscle gain brought about by taking creatine involves water retention in the muscle. In a controlled environment in a gym that is fine. In the helter-skelter of a cup match your body will dehydrate and cramp will set in. What I witnessed at Schools Cup matches this season were four or five players going down with cramp in the last quarter of the game."

he's 100% with this in fairness. i would suspect a lot of youngsters are taking it without required water intake

does creatine use benefit the young folk?

i'm not saying it's is dangerous cos I don't think it is. But given their naturally growth hormones etc at that age - do they actually need it?

or do they need a better diet and program?

So he inferring that both Lomu and a team mates condition was self inflicted? Somebody should pass that on to the two lads and hopefully hopefully one day their paths will cross.
Having an article about kids cramping is one thing, throwing in a cheap shot about something which is so so common and threatens the lives of many many people (I guarantee you everyone reading things knows someone with the same condition although people may not broadcast it) is another.
Maori populations are prone to what Lomu has AND if he wants to go down the "oh he did it to himself" route alot of people who need kidney transplants need them due to damage caused by painkillers like nurophen, due to oversubscription so he can be smug towards people that were in chronic pain instead.
Im no expert but Ive learned a bit about nephrotic syndrome due to a family member that has developed it.

Francis should stick to what he knows about, mud wrestling and balls.

I explained this on bookface earlier
Because we live in a country where u18 would use this to "cut" cocaine and therefore increase the quantity of the illegal substance they could sell. The profits from these sales would then be used to purchase small firearms which would then be used to further organised crime on this island of hours. There for as you cans see by my explanation the sale of protien powder by H&B to under 18's is directly linked to the rise of irelands "drug" kingpins....or it could be because they are a bunch on uneducated twats...

I was in Holland & Barrett and saw scrawny lads wanting to buy creatine and were refused, they asked for protein powder and got protein bars, the woman was saying "thats fine, its only food guys". If I was their age I would sooner be spending my pocket money on getting protein from chicken burgers!

Thing is the kids believe the crap they hear, and not just kids I know lads who have been in sports all their lives now in their 30's that think whey is some magical steroid.

Your explanation, whilst v.entertaining, was not sufficient to combat the urge to further broadcast this ridiculous-ness (is that a word?!):pac:

Anyone point me in the direction of a decent bar and bumper package...would be looking for about 120kg of bumpers and a decent bar.

This would be pretty good. You get a pretty good quality bar as well.
