Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

'Remember Me' not working in IE8

For some reason whenver I click 'Remember Me' on any web site (Boards, Facebook etc..) it isn't working? It seems to forget me. IE remembers my details when I start typing in my username, but not automatically.

Any ideas why this has stopped working? It worked fine on IE7.

Apologies if there is already a thread on this.

What are the Privacy settings (Tools/Internet Options/Privacy) set to ? If the slider is set to lower than Medium you may need to click Sites , enter the web address and click Allow .

I'm not sure if you need to close and restart IE for the new setting to take effect - certainly you need to do so for some Internet Options changes .

    Thanks for the reply...

I've set it to medium, but still no change!

    Any other ideas?

What I don't understand is why it always worked on IE7, but hasn't worked since I updated to IE8.

Are you using the InPrivate Browsing option ? That would prevent cookies being stored on your computer , which is effectively the problem here .

It can be turned on/off in the Tools dropdown .
