Does anyone have some quotes from critic AC bradley on macbeth?
I have been told that they are a great way to end an essay.

"Macbeth's deed is done in horror, and without the faintest desire or sense of glory- done, one may almost say, as if it were an appalling duty; the instant it is finished, its futility is revealed to Macbeth as clearly as its vileness had been revealed beforehand" - AC Bradley.

I had that particular AC Bradley one written on a sticky note by my desk along with this one:

"Macbeth defines a particular kind of evil- the evil that results from a lust of power."- LC Knights.

I'll go have a look for more. ST Coleridge is another really great critic.
