Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

you'll find yourself doing a lot more trekking than you imagine. get a breathable hiking boot like meindl (one that kind of looks like a runner but is waterproof with good grips) and it'll do the job nicely. Gortex / waterproof is a must!

I have flip flops, converse and meindls and use them all very often for the different climates you come across...

Ecco have a really good range of trekking shoes and sandals for men and women..extremely comfortable and waterproof.. get really good socks too especially if shoes are waterproof,

You'll prob find that most of the trekking will be done in the cold.

Especially after doing the Ciudad Perdida trek, I'd recommend a pair of trekking sandals. Handy if you're doing lots of river crossings!
