Is the Boards backup done nightly? Do you keep a copy of the backup?

Im curious as I am looking into ways of offering a better backup solution on a server I use, right now we do a daily, weekly and monthly backup. Its not the best solution so looking into other ideas.

Daily backup, gzip and keep everything. Stored in a few different places, including Amazon S3, locally in the office, and on two different RAIDed machines in Digiweb. There is also a live copy of the DB being consistently replicated to slave, so if a hardware failure occurs (as opposed to corruption) we have an up to date copy of the data.

Probably nicer ways of doing it, but it works and is paranoid enough for the moment.

    What about attachments etc?

Also backed up, but not quite as rigorously as the DB.

Is the general attitude that the DB is Boards.ie and anything else can just be rebuilt?

Well, the DB is the major content of the site, the application level stuff is all RAIDed and backed up too, and is kept in version control.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
