Not a complaint, just a query.

Can any mod delete posts from somebodies account?

    Thanks

A comment can only be deleted in the forum the Mod moderates.
And only if it is against the charter.

Short answer: yes, but only in the forums they mod.

The long answer is a bit more complicated. Mods can delete any post but obviously only in the forums they mod. Those posts are soft-deleted, which means that admins can still see them and undelete or move them. Only admins can hard-delete posts (permanently remove them from the database). Mods are of course beholden to the community and the admins on the decisions they make. Posts are almost always deleted for legal reasons or because someone has posted in a troublesome manner.
