Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.
Hi there,
There is an issue with role permissions that is being worked on at the moment.

Has there ever been a Boards.ie Meetup / Rideout? Want to?

    Quite. :D

    Okay....

    Meetup:

Next weekend Saturday (because I was going to suggest tomorrow, but probably will be suffering after the Leinster win).

Meet point somewhere west Dublin for the Dublin folk and the cark people can organise their own meet point.

General gathering somewhere like Victoria lock, on the Shannon, 8 Km SW of Banagher so I can add a few more Irish Photo Rally photo locations to my list.

well i'll head out for a spin in that direction anyway i reckon. To be honest i don't mind where to go, that photo rally is great craic regardless of which location...

I've got loads of stuff on for the next few weekends - but when it quietens down I'm deffo on for arranging a meetup. I was out on the bike in Wicklow at the weekend and it was really nice.

It was a "fast bikes only" spin.

I think if we find a place that has a decent lunch menu, we could then select a few differnt routes
    - a long route for fast bikes (just for Steffano2002)
    - a shorter route for slower bikes
    - and a much shorter route for mopeds and scooters :)

    * goes of to do some research *

Surely I'm not the only one who likes to go for "a proper spin"?

Great thinking anyway! A route to suit everybody! :)

The way we have always done it in the past is just one route, but the guys who want to go quick go at the front, the guys in no rush go at the back - but we always have a "Sweeper" at the back to make sure no one gets left behind. The guys at the front stop often to let the others catch up.

Really guys I don't think these rideouts are suited to scooters/mopeds

That's the way I'm used to doing it also. And it works well once everybody knows where the meeting points are along the route!

I agree. I'm not discriminating but 50cc mopeds will struggle to keep up with pretty much anything...

Best of luck with the theory test! But if you try keeping up with me only a few days after getting your bike you'll be in trouble Mister!
