WHAT THE FUDGE IS FATTY FATTY?

Fatty Fatty was set up by Pablo and Tomo and originally ran on Thursdays in the Thomas House, back in the venue’s glory days from 2001 to 2003. After some serious roof raising led to the place being closed for renovations and structural amendments, Fatty Fatty was left homeless... until now.

El Tomo and Pablo went on to become involved with Downtownsounds, whose monthly parties at Ri-Ra have brought scores of world class underground DJ’s to our fair capital - from Maurice Fulton and The Idjut Boys to Metro Area through house legends like Farley ’Jackmaster’ Funk and Black Science Orchestra/X-Press 2 man Ashley Beedle. They also help to run 52FUNK, a DTS affiliated party that runs monthly in Kennedy’s of Westland Row and has played host to the likes of Theo Parrish, Mr Fingers and Kompakt Records’ Justus Konchke, as well as the cream of Dublin’s Dj-ing scene.

The music policy at Fatty Fatty is very simple - music with funk and feeling from whatever genre - if it’s got a groove to make you move, it goes in our bag. This policy has led to El Tomo and Pablo nabbing high profile support slots to the likes of George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars, Aim, Metro Area and DJ Cosmo.....

    Sounds rather good to us!!
