    Hi,
I recently saw the ads for the two new Magnums and they looked nice. Just bought one and it's a bit of a joke really- you get a smaller ice cream in a big fancy box and price was €1.99....

I know I'm the bigger fool for buying one (but wanted to see/taste what they were like) but do they think that people will fork out €2 more than once for them? it's also a waste- the amount of packaging but they aren't concerned about that...

It'll be back to Lidl/Aldi for the imitation ones for me...

    cheers,
    Pa.

Manufacturers will only stop putting products in ridiculous amounts of packaging when people stop buying them!

The packaging is ridiculous, but the ice creams are much nicer than the regular magnums.

There are savage. Wouldn't be forking out for one regularly but there worth the treat once in a while. So much nicer than the other Magnums.

    reply from Walls (PR crap):
    Hello from Walls

    Dear Patrick,

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Magnum Temptation.

In response to your query, the Magnum Temptation is designed to be a
luxurious ice cream for that special occasion and therefore we have packed
the ice cream with lovely treats which is reflected in the price.

Developing packaging is about finding the right balance between product
protection, communication, positioning and environmental impact

Magnum Temptation packaging reflects the fact that it contains a new
product, made with new technology, that is more complex and delicate than
    standard ice cream.

The packaging has been designed in order to give the highest protection to
the product to ensure each product reaches our customers in perfect
condition, while also communicating to the consumer the fact that this is a
more premium product. Consumer tests have showed a strong preference for
    this packaging for Magnum Temptation.

Magnum is an international brand and our Temptation packaging has been
developed to work across the various markets we sell in. Recycling and
energy recovery systems differ across countries. Unfortunately in the UK,
the Temptation box and flow wrap are not currently recyclable.

We are committed to sustainability and are working on reducing the
environmental impact of this packaging in the UK as part of our ongoing
    product development.

Thank you for your feedback which we will certainly take into account in
our ongoing product and packaging development.

    Kind regards,

    Bhavi Hirani

Happy Magnum Temptation news boys and girls...
You can buy a multipack of three Magnum Temptations in Tesco for €2.35!I couldn't believe my eyes as it's €2 in my local shop just for one. They only have the Magnum Chocolate Temptations up online. I can confirm they are delicious too though. Chocolate icecream containing generous white chocolate chunks and pieces of what seemed like chocolate cake...yummmm.

I presume that they're 'mini' Magnums but still good value, will take a look
