Well, that or, people will continue to purchase the lesser product because it has a "better" ad campaign... I hate humanity...

I mentioned it to one of the admins and Gordon looked after it.

Well thanks to both of you then, because most of the main posters here aren't huge GH fans anymore!

Today there was a guy in the college lounge selling old vinyls and I picked up this little beauty for a tenner

It's got Bodhisattva on it, how can you go wrong?

How is that going to fit into a cd player ??? Is it some kind of novelty oversized thing

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

You have to cut it up into smaller CD shaped discs I think... Not certain yet!

Didnt want to start a new thread.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055715133
Reminded me I picked this up for a 10er last week. Rock band song pack 2

Has 20 songs you can play as a stand alone game and comes with a code to import the 20 songs. 50c a song is a hell of a deal.

Worth it for "You got another thing coming" alone :D

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

From what I can remember, I have all the songs on that I'd actually want already. How does it work, does it play stand alone?

Yes it plays as a stand alone game and comes with a code you use to download the songs for import to RB 1+2

    Worth it for a 10er
    "Afterlife" -- Avenged Sevenfold
    "Call Me" -- Blondie
    "El Scorcho" -- Weezer
    "Girl U Want" -- Devo
"Girls Who Play Guitars" -- Maximo Park
    "Indestructible" -- Disturbed
"It Hurts" -- Angels & Airwaves
"Just What I Needed" -- The Cars
"Message in a Bottle" -- The Police
"Monkey Gone to Heaven" -- Pixies
    "Rio" -- Duran Duran
"Saints of Los Angeles" -- Motley Crue
    "Simple Man" -- Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Snow (Hey Oh)" -- Red Hot Chili Peppers
"The Perfect Drug" -- Nine Inch Nails
"This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" -- Fall Out Boy
"Time Is Running Out" -- Papa Roach
"Why Do You Love Me" -- Garbage
"You've Got Another Thing Comin'" -- Judas Priest
    "Zero" -- Smashing Pumpkins

Pretty decent selection, Judas Priest and Maximo Park songs are my favourites , the Papa Roach and Cars songs are hella fun to play too.

Made me a new sig to promote the forum. If for some off reason you to want to wear a GH&RB sig with pride, here's the code-age. I'll make a smaller one soon if you have other stuff to put in your sig and don't want to dedicate all that space for this place ;)

Is that a rarely seen in these parts RB2 guitar i see?

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

Sure as shootin' is. So now my sig can promote the forum, and tease you about things you can't have!

    EDIT:
Yeah I knew about that, but if I did that then it wouldn't be HD! ;)

This probably wont make sense, but I had that problem even on my TV, and its not HD. Rock Band 1 was perfect, but I could never get the calibration settings on RB2 right. Even now they're not great.

Is the guitar wireless? That can often be a problem.

Nope, using the Rock Band wired Strat

That's odd. sometimes I find that lag is all in my head...
Sig to promote the new challenge!

Thanks for putting that in your sig Calex ;) I hope others follow your honourable path, *nudges others* :P

No worries , it's a fine piece of work.

Perhaps we should petition mods in the other console specific forums for permission (should it be needed) for a once of announcement post to 'drum' up a bit more interest re: challenges and the forum in general ?

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

I was thinking about something a long those lines, but I really don't think it'd be heeded as of now. Plus I'm fairly new in the mod game, can't really throw my weight around as of yet. I do have a plan to make it less like spam though, still working it out in my head. Leave that with me ;)

EDIT: Right now, the most I can ask of you guys is just to tell people you know in real life about the forum and boards.ie in general and ask 'em to sign up. Any advertising on other forums could be easily seen as spamming, and I couldn't have that on my conscience

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,126 ✭✭✭✭calex71

Yeah was a bit uneasy about it too, it's why I brought it up for a consensus on it.

The sig's are good enough though, they will definitely generate a few clicks i think.

Rock Band: The Beatles didn't add much to my library.... :pac:

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

damn it... That's the last of the comics! Jay P, do you have rb2? If not, why not? If so, do your single song challenge of the week!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,944 ✭✭✭Jay P

No I don't, only RB: The Beatles. Money is the main reason. Also, I'm only home at the weekends so I don't get to play my 360 much, and I don't really have any interest in bringing it down to Cork.

just got rockband for the psp great game

  • Moderators Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

Ah yes, I don't think many people here play that, but welcome! How are you finding it? If I had a PSP I'd pick it up for sure, it's meant to be a hark back to their amplitude days.
