Can anyone tell me if this shower is a pumped electric shower or a basic electric shower?

I currently have a Triton T90si installed and find it great but i cant see this model on any web sites to buy.

Just want to but the latest version of the T90si.

    Cheers

Correct, the only difference is the kit has a bow shape on it. XR Represents the new kit

    Brilliant shower!

You will get 10% off in Woodies, and then another 10% off if you are an OAP.

Or else just ask and haggle with them.

Nope not 20% You get 10% on certain days and an additional 10% if you are an OAP(bring your granny) that works out around 17% discount in total.

Just in case you doubt that

    100 - 10% = 90 -10% = 81

    Where as 100 - 20% = 80

    1 euro in a diff over 100.

Its an old sales trick and perfectly legal....Just playing with figures... :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,306 ✭✭✭blahblah06

lol i get ya but I didnt think you could combine the discounts

i thought the oap thing was on a certain day of the week

Not too sure about everyone but homebase do 10% day and oaps get 10% so I am sure woodies do.

But just to show its not 20%

It works better with larger figures. For example I always gave 20% discount and if they paid cash or collected I gave a further 5%( only if asked of course) the customer would be under the opinion they are getting 25% when in fact they are getting 23%.

The customer is blissfully happy, my boss was happy and my commission was happy. :)

I would of thought it 19% instead 17%, hardly a huge difference from 20%. And why would`t it be legal, 20% is never mentioned or given.

Jesus lets get padantic..... Its starts to get better when you buy more

    For example

    25% - 5 %

    35-10% etc...

I was explaining for the benefit of those who would imagne it to be illegal... and lastly I said about

I was simply showing the workings of the system..... I take it your trying to show something????

post 15 for the 20% question btw...

Not at all, i`ve nothing to show, but i thought a sales man would of said 19% instead of around 17%, i guess its the sales man thing to do. Fool the buyers. But if 19% is around 17% then i suppose the sales man is thinking more about it than the buyer who thinks they got 20% off, when they got 19%, or around 17%. And theres only a 10 percent chance of that. And where the hell am i.

    I definitely am bored today.

    Hi
My triton T90i is on its last legs  how can i tell if its an 8.5kw or a 9.5kw, so i know what to replace it with.
    thanks
    Sarah

It can be tested by electrician to see, with grip ammeter to measure curent, and a voltage test at the shower supply while its running, but there should be a label inside the unit telling its rating. The power would have to be turned off at the pullchord or wall switch, and remove cover to see it.

There could be a label on the bottom of it too so have a look before removing the cover.

It will be a T90xr you replace it with probably, which come in 8.5 or 9.5kw versions.

they'll be marked with nominal wattages 230/240 probably

but the actual wattage then can vary with supply voltage

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,422 ✭✭✭✭Bruthal

They seem to be rated for 230v nominal. I have one here that is 8.5kw at 230v nominal on the label in beside the heating tank in it.

At 240v it would be about 9.3kw, if you could get 240v at the shower terminals anyway.
