    Season 1 finished, not a whole lot to write home about, I've finished 4th, 7 points off promotion, and 11 off the title. This hasn't gone down well with the board, as I was predicted to win the league, and the board wanted the same.

    My job status is very insecure, assuming I do get sacked, what do you all think should be the procedure for that, should I wait til I get a new job and have to do the same task with a newer and probably lower team, should I have to start the same task again, or start a new task? I'm off for the night anyways so I suppose we'll go with the general consensus when I get back from work tomorrow.

    With a bit of luck I won't need it anyway, and I can concentrate on building a team for promotion next year.

    I think it should be up to the person really. If he doesn't think that he's up to the task he has, then maybe he could request a new one. Otherwise restart the task with the same team.

    That sounds fairly doable :).

    False alarm, didn't get sacked, amn't rated as insecure anymore, and I'm ready to start the new season tomorrow.

    Agreement that if anyone gets sacked, they can pick any of the 3 ways to continue then?

    Yep, I reckon either of the 3 options are fair enough.

    Just in my second season now and I've beaten Dinamo for the first time (beat me 3 times last season and the last one was to win the league on the last day of the season), so that could be a good omen. Unfortunately I had to sell 2 of my best players, they were both unhappy and coming into the last 6 months of their contracts, so I had to sell them or let them go on a free :mad:

    Boom there it is. Media prediction was 4th, but first season with one game to spare...

    I don't have FM 09, but i have 08, with the patch that has updated all the transfers etc as far as Jan. So makes it as good as having 09 without spending the money:)!
    If 08 counts, i'd be interested in this challenge as i've got a bit bored with my current game.

    I think you can only edit it up to 2 days after, unless you're a mod. You could always make a request to the relevant mod (Thanx 4 The Fish, Kinetic^) to edit your original post.

    broke my laptop a while ago and using brothers now but will i be able to just load the game onto this one using the fm09 disk i have? i seen to remember having to do something online when 1st playing but cant actually remember what?

    Soderhamn, ok interesting. Obviously not one of the biggest names in Sweden, but i'll give it a go.
    I was trying "print screen" a few mins ago and it doesn't seem to work.
    I thought it was just click prtsc button and paste?? Want to get that sorted so i can show my success in a few weeks! :pac:

    FM09 has a built in screenshot button. It's F9. Stores them in some folder...er...somewhere.

    Anyway, Prt Sc, open paint, paste it in there, save and upload here.

    My league so far is going ok. 0k to spend. Budget of 1.5k. Media Prediction was 11th. Lost the first game and I'm about to play my second.

    Same here on the €0 budget. Also have been asked to cut wages by about 30% and only get 10% of any sales - nice!

    Have naturally ignored the wages cut and have managed to increase the wage spend because the players signed were recommended as definite purchases (3 serbians and a half Mali/Ukranian player, just to spice things up). Hoping that the few sales will keep the club afloat overall, even if i can't touch the cash.

    Predicted 10/15 and board want mid-table. Played 3 and 1-1-1 so far with 4th game at 1-1 at half time when I left it. Still, whenever I think it's a tough challenge I just think of the guy who has to get some turkish team I've never heard of to win the CL :D
