    Anyone having horrible latency issues with eircom at the moment?

    Pinging www.l.google.com [216.239.59.99] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 216.239.59.99: bytes=32 time=354ms TTL=246
    Reply from 216.239.59.99: bytes=32 time=367ms TTL=246
    Reply from 216.239.59.99: bytes=32 time=335ms TTL=246
    Reply from 216.239.59.99: bytes=32 time=334ms TTL=246

    Ping statistics for 216.239.59.99:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 334ms, Maximum = 367ms, Average = 347ms

    I normally ping around 50, but for some reason its in the high 300-400's

    Looks to me like Eircoms DNS servers are screwed today.... nothing is resolving, had a few customers call me about it.

    Use Open DNS. Eircom are woeful.
