    King of fighters 2008 (2009?) is out soon, not been the biggest follower of the series but shall be getting this along with Tekken.

    Wondering of any of the rest of you are gonna smaple it's delights?

    After all SFIV already feels a bit dry...

    From what I gather, it even supports clans.
    Plus, it looks so. Damn. SEXY.
    Also turtling might be a bit less prevalent.

    Looks great, I think I heard that it has GGPO-style netcode too? Hell yeah if so.

    According to SNK, they first drew outlines of 2D characters.
    Then, they modelled everything in 3D to get the moves done quickly.
    Finally, the basically traced over the 3D & added in more fine details, working in 2D again.

    So rather than a HD overlay a la HD Remix, these are, yes, fully redrawn sprites.

    Oh, and IIRC it actually runs a tiny bit above 720p :D

    randomchild: Dandy J from Something Awful made those videos, they rule. Really knowledgable guy about most fighting games from the little I've talked to him.
