Just looked at the prices for a 5-day stay in late July - WOW is it cheap! Around $100 average per night for 5-days including Friday and Saturday in some of the really nice place - it was more expensive when I was going there a few times a year six or seven years ago.

Gotta love the rides on the top of the stratosphere!

That one where you go over the edge, it stops, and then drops the last little bit!
    Class!
Never seen so many second thoughts before a ride.
Make sure you get the front seat;)

Not sure i'd stay there but i haven't so can't really comment.

The eddie rockets type restaurant downstairs was the only place in the USA i was warned that the portions were BIG! And then she got up and sang to me:),
    and everybody else of course!!!!

Anyways am jealous of y'all over there now, enjoy every minute of it:p

    Ask here:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=639

I played last year in some place we got a taxi to with a few of the lads. Very good tables, but it still didn't improve my pool game much.

There is a place beside the M&M store on the strip. Its an arcade downstairs and has pool tables and a bar upstairs. They didnt even charge us for the pool tables when we went, as we drank so much:)

There are a good few pool halls around vegas, we found a really nice one last year, can't remember the name though. If you google a list of them and post them here maybe one will jog my memory

Anytime at all, or specifically for the WSOP?

If you just 'want to go to Vegas' some random time in September/October or whatever, then you should have no trouble getting there for ~€500.

The two I was leaning towards are

Club Charleston - a few blocks west of strip
Cue Club - close to strip on Sahara Ave

    lol.

Also, if you've a choice of 2 hotels for roughly the same price then go for the one with the better nightclub.

Go down to reception during the day, present your room key and ask for your names to be put on the guest list/ comp list.

Will enable you to skip the queues.

Dont see why you should have trouble, once you look slick. Even wear suits, thats what we did, got VIP in studio 54, had some bird there the whole night pouring our gin and stuff. We tipped v well though.

I got my flights on cheapflights.ie. €350 return Dublin-vegas in September. If the prices go any lower than that then there must be something wrong with the plane.

Just got my flights too - well, the Dublin-SFO return flight anyhow - in late July for €490; quite pleased with myself! Can fly from San Jose to Vegas for less than $70 and from Vegas back to SFO for $80 or so.

If you had a choice between staying in the Mirage, MGM or Paris, where would you stay? Bare in mind a lot of poker will be played! I've stayed in the Mirage and the MGM in my pre-poker days and both are nice, though the Mirage is better located I think.

United - booked on eBookers - the cheap flights were not there yesterday so I snapped them up today - most other options Dub-Western USA in late July are €700+!

Edit to add: the flights are London-SFO direct, with the Dub-London sections with Aer Lingus.
