Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know, another hardware thread, however it seems for me that quite important. Especially when we are talking about visual arts, where the display plays more and more important role in the workflow.

Could you recommend display for photo-processing? Is anybody able to give basic description of technologies of screens, what is important, colour profiles, possibility of callibration under various operating systems?

Personal experience would be also appreciate (like in this thread).

I bought a 19 inch 100hz nec multisync crt monitor off one of dads friends. Its big bulky, takes time to heat up but its better then any lcd i've seen. Colours and sharpness its far better then the cheap dell lcd it replaced.

There are three basic panel types that go into a display IPS, VA and TN with the best first and the worst last. TN panels are the most common and are in most monitors as the other two are quite expensive and usually only found in much more expensive displays.
