    Why don't you use dialwise.ie where they have a 1890 local call rate number for calling the states

    Any why don't you want a conversation with the person!?!:confused:

    It all depends on who your operator is - landline or mobile.

    Most operators have a "minimum connection charge".

    This isn't a Consumer Issue, but I'm actually unsure as to where to put it.

    OP, who is your current provider? Their website should list charges.
