I have an idea.. a photo series

Not sure if its been done before on here, but basically the way I see it is you pick a topic or an idea can be anything you like! You give yourself 1 - 2 months! You go out and photograph your topic as many times as you like! At the end you pick 5 - 10(less to keep it neater) of those images and display in print or online whatever you like. At the end if a few people do it, would be nice to compare!

Examples of ideas would be things like burned out cars, footpaths, random people on the street! Anything you can think of!

I was going to do this for my portfolio for college interview but I just found out its next tuesday so im doing it now for fun! I just said id post it up and see if people are interesting in going for it also? If we get a good few people we can all set a date and our ideas!

That sounds cool, I'd be interested.

Just an idea... how about we come up with a bunch of idea's and then shuffle them so you're not picking your own topic/idea. It might help people get more creative and away from what they're used to shooting? Again, just an idea!

Seems quite similar to the Assignments in the Challenge Section to me.

I like the idea. It's like the assignments you find under Photo Challenge, just gives you even more time. I've been to the documentary group at DublinCameraClub last Monday so that's even more a reason why I'd like to do it - haven't found a theme yet

Lots of time to get the shots as well makes it even better!!!

I love the idea of seeing the difference of everyone's shots as well!!!

Hmm I never thought to look in there actually.. :rolleyes: I suppose the only difference is to make a display of it printed on paper kinda like this:

Yeah thats actually a good idea! Only thing is im set on my idea now

Haha, ok Darren. How about anybody who's interested, picks their idea/theme by next friday the 22nd. Then one month later we all meet up for a coffee/beer in town a month'ish from then to pass around our photos? Is this sort of what you had in mind?

I never thought about meeting up but sure if we get enough people interested! Id be up for that!!
