    Summet like 3.8b euro of debt in eircom...is it a worth taking over?

    I don't know much about Melly tbh...must read up when I get a moment.

    Sounds like another vulture capitalist.

    This bit sounds a little more promising:
    Singapore Technologies Telemedia is also believed to have made an offer for Eircom.

    They own a majority stake in StarHub, the only cable TV company in Singapore and have been offering 100mb/s BB since 2007, so they sound like they know what they are doing.

    S.T. are already kinda in Ireland because they own global crossing.....so they would have some idea of the playing field here....
