Why no email spam filtering?

I've looked at most of the main security software suites for mobile/PDA and none have email spam filtering. They have anti-virus, firewall, SMS spam filtering but nothing for email. Why would this be? Is there anything out there that does this? Thanks.

something server-side could do it. i just use DNS blocklists on my email server which up until now got rid nearly all the spam. i think spamassasin is used a lot for server side but if you don't run a mail server you're SoL

The only solution is all mail first forwarded to Gmail, allow it to filter and then collect that mail to your device.
