Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heading off to Amsterdam, for a very few days, in a bit over a week.
Thinking of buying a few new camera gadgets for my D90 (battery grip, new flash, etc...).
Anyone know a good camera shop in Amsterdam?

theres one just off dam square .... cant remember the name of it but go down the side nearest the bulldog (as you look at the bulldog alleyway down the left)

you'd probably be better off buying in duty free.

I was in that shop a couple of weeks ago. Quite small but seem to have a lot of gear. The day I was there the place was too packed to get a proper look at anything though. Duty free shop wasn't up to much.

There's another great one down south of dam square on the red light distict side, very close to the (legendary) Dampkring coffee shop.

Was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. There are a good few camera shops around, especially around the main shopping streets, but the one mentioned here on Rokin (just off Dam Square, walk past madame tousauds [sp?]). It seemed to have a lot of gear, but cheaper then the other shops.

    Thanks everyone!
I'll try and find one of these, as I have never been to Amsterdam before.

    Thanks everyone!

Most shops are centrally located so all you need to do is find Dam square (not hard, just down the way from centraal station which undoubtedly you'll hit from schiphol) and go from there.
