Are Boards.ie and Adverts.ie blocking the IE6 browser?

I know its an old crummy browser but its the only one the job has on all its pc's and they're not going to upgrade anytime soon. I'm only able to access Boards.ie now by using www-srv-3.boards.ie, which I found through Google.

No, we don't block based on browser, what happens if you try to view a thread/forum?

I get this message, maybe the job is blocking it...

    Error Code 10060: Connection timeout
Background: The gateway could not receive a timely response from the website you are trying to access. This might indicate that the network is congested, or that the website is experiencing technical difficulties.

Ah, we received a heavy stream of traffic from your IP address at some point in the last couple of days, thought it was a denial of service attack (may indicate that you have a compromised machine in the network).

We'll remove the block now to see if it's still causing problems, will let you know if we have to block it again.

Maybe the heavy stream of traffic is my addiction to Boards/Adverts.ie :) Seriously though thanks Ross, its great to have access again.

No problem, it's unfortunate that it affected you, hopefully won't happen again :)
