    1. Decide which one you like best, what games you like better on each console, price range etc.

    2. Ask online and get biased people telling you to buy this and that

    Both consoles are fantastic. Sony have really pulled through after a rough start. I probably play my PS3 more, but that's because Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet are life-eaters and Gears 2 disappointed me online.

    This can be a productive discussion, if lead by people who have played both consoles extensively and lately. Fanboys are hilarious.

    I will just point out the things I hate on both sides of the argument.

    "Xbox Live costs 60 Euro" - It's worth it. Get over it. PSN is free, but it's still in early stages, doing well though.

    "PS3 is too big" - Well, it doesn't have a big grey energy brick hanging off the power chord, so It all balances out.

    "PS3 has no games" - It has at least 15 amazing to great exclusives alone. Seriously, give over.

    "I don't want a Blu-ray Player" - Well, that's how crisp movies and huge games come nowadays.

    "PCs are better" - Nobody asked you in here.

    "Wiis are better" - Ah, now.

    If you have to chose only one of the consoles to buy, I used to advise 360 because of the library of games and significanly larger number of people playing online ( and the more people you know will be playing on Live) but now, it's a much of a muchness. PS3 is great. The 360 is great. Games are great. Yay.
