Hello,
I recently got my windows washed I think they look even worse now. The reason being is that small traces of what looks like plaster residue are smearing some parts of the window. The house is 4 years old. The thing is this stuff is really hard to get off with just hot soapy water. Has anyone out there any isea of what to use or might work before I destroy them completely with a wire brush!!

Try a scraper ,the one with a stanley blade in it . It wont damage the glass ,local hardware should have it .

I dunno about using a blade on glass...There must be a solution of some sorts???

You could try using a glass cleaner from Halfords. I use it on my car, theres no reason why it wont work on ur windows.

I gently scraped of 'obvious' plaster, then used Methylated Spirits....wear a mask, you'll get high high. Meths is great on greasy, oily marks too.

try the W5 window cleaner from lidl. get the aerosol. spray and leave for 2 mins will remove anything from glass and frame
