Thats the way to have it. I hate this modern culture of responsibility and having every little thing accounted for. and i'm not even being sarcastic

Ok so if an ordinary old man rapes a young child and they get a fine and a prison sentence, would the State pay for their fine?

Why should priests be any different. The Church should pay for it's crimes.

Because the state put the children there and paid the bills, thats why. Also because the state effectively sat back for close to 100 years and facilitated it.

What annoys me is the megahyprocrisy of CORI's "justice" division who pontificate about how we should keep forking more and more money out to the very people they saw fit to degrade, beat and rape for close to 100 years.

I would agree, however, in witholding tax exemptions to the church for such a period as reasonable contributions could be made.

The question does however, come back to the fact that few ordinary citizens did anything to stop the system until very latterly and the electorate as a whole continued to vote into power establishments who maintained this system. Which in my book is collusion.
