New Camera

hi lads and lassies,
i'm thinking of getting myself a new camera before the summer,
was looking at either a panasonic ts1 or a samsung sl820?
i like the ts1 because it's durable and seems like a point and shoot kinda camera?
or is that just lack of info speaking?
want a good quality camera with fast focusing for point + shoot scenarios and a high quality so it'll last

thanks any info is greatly apreciated

If you want a quality P&S then get a Canon. IMO their by far the best for compacts.
